BROTHERS OF THE ROAD

For those of you who do not know me, I happening to be an artists and have exhibited my work in the U.S., Europe and Japan. With that said, I've been working on a few new art projects, and this is one of them dealing with....wait for it.....Motorcycles and the biker life. This style of painting is different than what I'm known for, and it has been fun creating them! There's some good news about this series, but I feel I need to wait a bit before I announce it.

Road Trip Down Memory Lane - 2014 Bike Season

Knowing it is next to impossible to make every bike night, charity poker run and bike show happening in Ohio, let alone wherever you live, there are a special few in Central Ohio I think you should mark on your 2015 calendar.

First is one of the big events that opens every year in mid-February is the Easyriders Bike Show at the Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio. It is a great time to see what some of the best bike builders are churning out of their garages, buy cool biker gear and merchandise, take a gander at pretty women doing their thing on stage, and meet biker celebrities like Michael Ballard, Angie Carlson, and Jesse James Dupree from Full Throttle Saloon and cast members from Sons of Anarchy.

Next is the partnership of QFM96 radio station and Scioto Downs Racino; on July 7, 2014, they had their first bike night at Scioto Downs on South High Street in Columbus, Ohio. And, for reasons that seemed logical to me, having a bike night at a place featuring some of the finest thoroughbreds and jockeys in Ohio was the perfect site for some of the finest iron horses and bikers to congregate, and get their party on! The night's Mistress of Ceremony Kristie Kemper and her crew has put together a fun filled evening with different give always, food, beer and other libations of the gods, tickets to win a Harley Davidson Iron 883, and jamming tunes set under the backdrop of dust being kicked up on the track.

Lastly, there are rides like the One Lap Around 270 for PTSD hosted by Driven With Purpose (drivenwithpurpose.org), an Ohio based educational and personal outreach program committed to helping our veterans and others suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder; the Templar Knights MC (charity club) Annual Battle for Breath for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation; and, Shaker’s Bar & Grille Bike Night on Georgesville Road and and Ten Mile Inn Bike Night on West Broad Street both in Columbus, Ohio.

So now you know!
